As the two-some performed alap, jod, jhala, and compositions, with Rajeev aparently taking the lead on his sitar, Kamala's notes on the guitar merged so well, you couldn't really shift them apart.

To end the session, Kamalashankar and Rajeev Janardan gave an excellent Jugalbandi on the Guitar and Sitar. They portrayed a classical picture of the raga shuddha Sarang, an afternoon melody.They stuck to the raga vachak phrases in exposition of the raga which could be rated as a good achievement. The artist played two compositions in Teental. The emphasis on ma, re, sa, sa, ni, dha sa, ni, re, sa - the raga vachak piece-helped them to estabilish the structure of the melody. Kamala was impressive with her melodious music on the Guitar while the Imdadkhani training received from Pt. Bimelendu Mukherjee was seen in the many phrases on sitar played by Rajeev. The Jugalbandi was applauded by the audience. Bhagvat enhanced the beauty of the Jugalbandi with an entertaining tabla accompaniment in the Banaras style.
